Taylor Swift has broken two Spotify records for 2026, according to Variety.

The 36-year-old singer-songwriter recently released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, featuring four new songs: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.” The track “Patient Zero” broke the record for the most-streamed song by a female artist in a day in 2026, while Swift achieved the most streams of any female artist in a single day this year.

A Message of Gratitude to Fans

In a message to fans on Instagram, Swift explained why she was releasing the Encore album. She wrote: “About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made.”

A Declaration of Love

Meanwhile, Swift declares her new husband Travis Kelce—whom she married in July—the “love of [her] life” in the new song “Cleveland!,” which is named after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s home city.

In the song, she sings: “She’s not as hot as she was, but she was only a four / She was never a girls’ girl, she was just a… / And with all of that money, why’s she dressed like trash? / When she smiles, it’s annoying, and have you seen her / Stumbling clumsily? / Would you even call that dancing?”

She later addresses her love for Travis: “Something we all can agree on / But my baby likes what he likes. / He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life.”

The bridge adds: “You only need to find one person in this entire world / Who doesn’t find you completely insufferable / And I have an important announcement to make / I found mine.”

Themes Across the New Tracks

“Patient Zero” sees Swift offering a shoulder to cry on for an ex’s new partner, prompting fans to speculate she is referencing the support she offered Sophie Turner in the wake of her split from husband Joe Jonas in 2023.

“Pink Clouding” sees Swift regret the way she treated a “good” former partner. She sings: “Years later, I still wonder how to tell you sorry / I didn’t wanna let you down / So I left you up there on a, pink cloud.”

In “Babylon,” Swift reflects on hindsight in love, lamenting “missing all the best parts” of a past relationship. She sings: “You never knew that it was Babylon ’til it was gone.”
