Louis van Gaal admits he’s not happy with Jose Mourinho

Louis van Gaal met with Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho on Saturday during the team’s Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield, and the Dutchman, despite an alleged cordial relationship he shared with his Portuguese successor, says there’s no love between them.

LVG says he’s not happy with the way United leaders handled his exit as manager, and blames Mourinho for exhibiting an overbearing attitude during the transition.

Van Gaal spent two years with the Red Devils. Although he won an FA Cup in 2016, his impact as a manager was not felt soon enough. Mourinho toppled his leadership with a 3-year contract shortly after leaving Chelsea.

Both coaches met at Anfield on Saturday, not by chance or plan, but because LVG was reporting for a Portuguese TV channel during the goalless draw.

Mourinho exchanged pleasantries with his former boss at Barcelona and invited him to share a glass of wine after the game.

However, the former coach at Bayern Munich and Ajax waved off Mou’s antics with criticisms, saying the ex-Real Madrid boss often lets himself ‘get out of control.’

“Remarkable, eh? Mourinho is a sympathetic guy,” he told Ziggo Sport.

“He was like that when he was an assistant as well as an opponent. He only lets himself go in front of media.

“And the way I suspect the change of him taking over Manchester United that led to me being sacked, that’s not very chic.”

The 66-year-old added that he has good memories of Manchester United and argued that the media lied about his relationships at Old Trafford.

“Whatever the media have written about it does not apply to the staff, the players and the fans,” he noted.

“I have been very well received here. I have always had a good relationship with the staff.”

“[About Mourinho] …the way his transfer as a manager to Manchester United went was not elegant at all, that resulted in my sacking,” Van Gaal was quoted as saying in various newspapers.

Park Ji-sung: Manchester United has Suffered Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s Exit

The Red Devils suffered a dip in form since between 2013 and 2016 when David Moyes and Dutchman Louis van Gaal failed to lift the team’s standing in world football. Mou took over in 2016 and grabbed three trophies in his first campaign as United manager.

With the club’s current standing on the Premier League table, Park Ji-sung says a reincarnation at Old Trafford is almost complete. United is making progress in the Champions League, Carabao Cup and EPL despite dropping two points recently.

‘We’re almost out from the chains and bonds,’ said the former United midfielder. ‘We’re almost out from that dark tunnel.

Mourinho Blasts David Moyes For Claims On Inheriting A ‘Left-Over’ Team From Alex Ferguson.

‘It has been a very difficult time since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club – but actually, many people knew it’d be so.

‘It gladdens that heart to see that the atmosphere has been quite different this season. The performance is great. Hopefully, it will be the same as under Sir Alex Ferguson.’

Talking about Mourinho’s history and a possibility that he’d win more trophies this season, the ex-South Korea international footballer said, ‘His second season is always good. In his first season, he knows what the club wanted. He found some things, brought in some players who he wanted and now it looks strong.’

United has held tight to its unbeaten run since the 2017-18 campaign, and Park advised Mourinho’s men to remain focused on their joint lead with Manchester City, bearing in mind that reasserting domestic dominance is the main objective.

He continued, ‘It’s too early to declare a winner – I know Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal compete during the league. The EPL is never over until it’s over. Clubs fight for the title to the end.

‘At the moment, it looks like two clubs. We need to show our quality and don’t think about other clubs, like Man City.’

Latest sports news say Louis van Gaal is expected back at Old Trafford, as Mourinho’s successor. The new development emerged after a meeting at Anfield between the Dutchman and his former assistant.

Barcelona to replace Neymar Jr. with PSG star Angel Di Maria

Barcelona FC are reportedly making plans to swoop on former Real Madrid and Manchester United star Angel Di Maria as a replacement for Neymar Jr.

Neymar is set to play his first Ligue 1 match tomorrow against Guingamp, and his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain means Di Maria’s career is hanging in the balance although the Argentine played 90 minutes against Amiens last week.

The Brazilian forward arrived Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) a few days ago as the world’s most expensive footballer. His outrageous £198m remains the highest transfer deal in football history.

Di Maria, 29, is more likely to have his playing time reduced at PSG to accommodate Neymar, and Barcelona are considering an urgent move for the left-footed Argentina international footballer.

Other players in Barca’s radar are Antoine Griezmann, Mesut Ozil, Christian Erikseen, Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Paulo Dybala, Eden Hazard or Philippe Coutinho.

Ernesto Valverde missed out on  Marco Verratti and Hector Bellerin earlier in the summer transfer window. And Neymar’s shocking exit makes it necessary to buy a reliable midfielder like Di Maria, who is expected to blend perfectly with team captain Andres Iniesta.

Valverde has demanded an upgrade in his squad to enable them compete from a position of strength in this season’s La Liga and Champions League campaigns.

Teaming up with compatriots Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano at Camp Nou might guarantee a slot for Di Maria in Argentina’s 2018 World Cup campaign, especially if he loses his place at PSG TO Neymar.

Di Maria’s football career started with Central Rosario. His first chance for a move to Europe came from Befica which he left for Real Madrid (€25 million) after three years.

In 2014, he switched to Manchester United for a British record £59.7 million although football analysts believe his Premier League experience was one of the worst signings for that year. His perfect start with The Red Devils suffered a dip after his house was burgled.

The Argentine footballer later moved to PSG for £44 million after a rumored fall-out with United manager Louis van Gaal.

Di Maria reportedly missed United’s flight to the United States  for their pre-season tour on 25 July 2015. At that time, LVG denied being aware of the reason behind his player’s absence.

On 2 August, Di Maria completed a medical ahead of his move to PSG, and four days later the French champions announced him as their latest signing.

Jose Mourinho Dedicates Man Utd’s Community Shield Cup Victory To LVG.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s superb 83rd-minute header won last night’s Community Shield game for Manchester United and Jose Mourinho didn’t forget to show respect to an old friend and well-wisher Louis van Gaal.

The Portuguese said he dedictates their victory to his predecessaor LVG rather than claim it all, after the Red Devils outclassed Leicester City by canceling Jamie Vardy’s equlizer and holding unto it.

Mourinho said: “I want to dedicate victory to Louis van Gaal.

“Without him, I would not be here celebrating because he won the FA Cup, which allows me to have one more trophy.

“I left many more trophies for managers to win after me and nobody remembers me, but this one I remember it was won by somebody who went before me.

“I also want to dedicate to the seven players who did not play, It hurts me to leave behind the likes of Depay, Jones, Young.”

Mourinho and his Old Trafford team are basking in the joy of victory, bearing in mind that the journey to more glories has just began with a trophy at hand.

“My ambition is a stupid ambition,” the Portuguese coach said. “It is impossible, but I want to win every game.

“That will start at Bournemouth next week and then the next game and the next if we win.

“But our desire to do well and work and improve (is our biggest strength). In this moment, we are not a super team, but we are a team with a super desire.”

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic who scored the winning goal says he’s hungry for more trophies. The legendary Swede footballer said he wants their Community Shield victory to be the first of many more to come.

“It feels good,” said the former Paris Saint Germain goal king. “The first official game, we play for a trophy and we win.

“This is my 31st trophy, I’m super happy, but hopefully I can win much more than this.

“It was a difficult game. We played against a good team. They were very strong.

“But something big is going on with our team. We begin with a trophy.”

Louis Van Gaal Hopeful To Remain Manager At Man U.

It’s been quite a few rough months for Manchester United’s coach Luis Van Gaal who says he expects to remain the club’s manager next season.

Image shows Manchester United’s coach, Louis Van Gaal.

He understands very well that missing out on Champions League qualification would bring negative consequences to the coaching crew and players.

Unfortunately, the 3-2 midweek defeat at West Ham saw the Red Devils waste their rare chance to wrest fourth spot from Manchester City ahead of the season finale. In the light of this, Van Gaal’s men now need to win against Bournemouth and hope Manchester City falls at Swansea.

This dream for a fourth place on the league table is a tough task underlined by bookmakers’ odds of 7-1.

Louis Van Gaal: Manchester United Will Delay Leicester’s Party.

The pressure is building up as the two teams get set for a match that’s, for many Leicester fans, a do-or-die affair.

Louis van Gaal said that a Leicester City title win in today’s game will be very “good for the Premier League”, but he claimed that circumstances have been in their favour.

In what would be a shameful outing for the Red Devils if they let the Foxes win, it is strongly believed that Man U will not let the historical party begin today at Old Trafford.

Louis Van Gaal Agrees Rashford is a Genius.

Give Honor To Whom It Is Due, Louis van Gaal.

It’s a right thing to do when we give honor to those who truly deserve it. The Dutchman Louis van Gaal doesn’t quite believe in that. Or maybe, he hates to do that in public.

We all know how hard Louis van Gaal’s job was as Manchester United’s manager, few days before Marcus Rashford came to his rescue by scoring a brace against FC Midtjylland. Commendably, the youngster with a promising talent scored twice again as Arsenal lost 3-2 to the Red Devils.

But the coach seem to be withholding his testimony for a time in the future without considering what motivation it could be in favor of the budding talent.

Marcus Rashford has been included in Manchester United's squad for the clash with Watford on Saturday

There has been serious speculations in the media about Jose Mourinho taking over reigns from him though that has quietened a bit – thanks to Marcus’ brilliance on the pitch. His soccer prowess is part of – if not exactly – what saved the Dutchman his job.

Yet, while celebrating with the new found magician and the victory that came with him, LVG has refused to accept the fact that he could have been sacked without those important goals from Rashford.  Continue reading “Give Honor To Whom It Is Due, Louis van Gaal.”
