Born on 3 July, 1964, Tae Ashida is a renowned Japanese designer who has partnered with many high-profile businesses and showcased her unique fashion styles at different venues across Japan.
Although her father, Jun Ashida, was a famous fashion designer who collaborated with Empress Michiko at some point in his fruitful career, it wasn’t until 1991 that Tae debuted as an independent dressmaker for Miss Ashida.
Tae is currently an active designer in her father’s company, and will someday take over management roles. She is known for her elegant fashion trends.
Some of her clients include: female members of the Tokyo Trust Bank (UFJ Trust Bank), performers at Tokyo’s Disney Resort and the uniforms worn by SK-II, Max Factor’s top brand in Asia.
Tae graduated from high school at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland and holds a graduate degree (Bachelor of Fine Arts) from the Apparel Design department at The Rhode Island School of Design.
