Mr. President made a marker sketch of New York’s iconic skyscraper for a charity auction in Florida at the time he launched his Mar-a-Lago estate as a private club in 1995.

Julien’s Auctions, which handled the bids on 19 October, 2017 says the 12-inch-by-9-inch which bears Trump’s signature was initially sold for less than a hundred dollars the first during its first auction.

According to AP, the artwork was expected to fetch between $8,000 to $12,000 at the auction which took place last Thursday in Los Angeles and online.

The lucky buyer has not been named.

However, the auction house says a portion of the proceeds of the sale are going to benefit WHDD-FM, a National Public Radio station in Connecticut.
