During her testimony in the 2015 defamation case against Ghislaine Maxwell, Johanna Sjoberg claimed she saw Virginia Giuffre being touched with a puppet of Prince Andrew.
While in Manhattan in 2001, Ms Sjoberg said Maxwell called her to an upstairs closet, where there was a puppet of the Duke of York which was made for a BBC programme.
“It looked like him,” she said. “And she brought it down and presented it to him; and that was a great joke, because apparently it was a production from a show on BBC.
“And they decided to take a picture with it, in which Virginia and Andrew sat on a couch.
“They put the puppet on Virginia’s lap, and I sat on Andrew’s lap, and they put the puppet’s hand on Virginia’s breast, and Andrew put his hand on my breast, and they took a photo.”
Giuffre claims Maxwell told her to have sex with several men

One of them shows that Virginia Giuffre said she had been told by Ghislaine Maxwell to have sex with several men in her 2016 deposition.
After asking Ms Giuffre in turn about each of the men, Laura Menninger, a lawyer who was part of Maxwell’s legal team at the time, asked: “Other than Glenn Dubin, (redacted), Prince Andrew, Jean Luc Brunel, Bill Richardson, another prince, the large hotel chain owner and Marvin Minsky, is there anyone else that Ghislaine Maxwell directed you to go have sex with?”
Ms Giuffre replied: “I am definitely sure there is. But can I remember everybody’s name? No.”
For context: Ghislaine Maxwell was living, travelling and working with Jeffrey Epstein in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They are believed to have dated in 1991 and stayed friends after breaking up.
She was arrested by the FBI in July 2020, when officers found her during a raid on a secluded property in Bradford, New Hampshire, where she had been keeping a low profile after Epstein’s death in prison.
After a three-week trial in December 2021, Maxwell was found guilty of recruiting underage girls to be sexually abused by her former boyfriend.
She had been accused of recruiting and grooming four teenagers for Epstein to molest in massage rooms between 1994 and 2004 at his various properties.
