Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu has paid a visit to an artillery factory in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region today.

Pictures released by the defence ministry show Mr Shoigu being shown around the plant and inspecting weapons.

One of the bombs appeared to be branded with the lettering “FAB-3000”. Russia’s defence ministry earlier announced it had begun the mass production of the high-explosive bombs.
