ROYAL SCANDAL: Who is mentioned in Epstein documents?

The judge who decided to unseal the documents said the records are being released because much of the information within them is already public.

Those named in the records include many of Epstein’s accusers, members of his staff who told their stories to tabloid newspapers, people who served as witnesses at Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial, people who were mentioned in passing during depositions but aren’t accused of anything salacious and people who investigated Epstein, including prosecutors, a journalist and a police detective.

Names of public figures known to have been associated with Epstein over the years have also been mentioned – though many of these relationships with him have been well documented elsewhere.

They include French modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, who was awaiting trial on charges that he raped underage girls when he killed himself in a Paris prison in 2022.

Bill Clinton and Donald Trump also feature in the court file, partly because accuser Virginia Giuffre was questioned by Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyers about inaccuracies in newspaper stories about her time with Epstein.

In one newspaper story, she was quoted as saying she had ridden in a helicopter with Clinton and flirted with Trump.

Ms Giuffre said neither of these things happened, and she has not accused either former president of wrongdoing.

Epstein accuser says she met Michael Jackson

Johanna Sjoberg testified in a newly released deposition she once met Michael Jackson at Jeffrey Epstein’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.

She said nothing untoward happened with the late pop icon.

There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by Jackson.

His name has come up around the case before after it was mentioned by a lawyer.
