Read Meredith McIver’s Resignation Letter To Trump Organization, After Writing Melania’s Plagiarized Convention Speech.

Meredith McIver, (a young woman in her mid thirties) is the real story behind Melania Trump‘s failed Republican Convention speech. The speechwriter made headlines July 20, soon after some plagiarized lines were presented onstage by Trump’s wife.

Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention address was “Adam’s forbidden apple tree” from where the scribbler lifted excerpts that was fed to a potential US President’s wife.

Though she never meant to embarrass the recently nominated presidential candidate, Meredith has accepted blames for the ‘unpardonable’ failure and humbly tendered her emotion-filled resignation letter.

Meredith’s ex-boyfriend Stephen Palitz described her as a committed and disciplined employee who has always applied rigor to her work, adding that “she’s adept at crystallizing phrases and saying things in an elegant straightforward way.”

The sorrowful writer of this widely discussed convention notebook has taken the fall with dignity, but surprisingly, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump showed her some deserved kindness and understanding.

Trump declined to let her leave the organization in disgrace, considering her loyalty and the huge contributions she had made in the past.

Meredith reveals in her resignation later that the presidential hopeful told her: “People make innocent mistakes,” adding that, “We learn and grow from these experiences.”

Meredith McIver was a trained ballerina dancer who had performed under the limelight until she chose to pursue her passion for writing–she works for Trump Organization, not the campaign.

In a job that has spanned over 10 years, the writer made huge contributions to Mr. Trump’s 2004 bestseller: “How to Get Rich”. She was, in fact, a co-author for the book.

After a successful launch of the chart-buster, the Republican presidential candidate paid tribute to Meredith who he said, worked from a desk outside his office.

In his words: “As you know, my door is always open, so Meredith has heard everything, and she’s taken good notes.

“She’s done a remarkable job of helping me put my thoughts and experiences on paper. I am tremendously grateful to her.”

For anyone who knows that Ms. McIver is: “an in-house staffer at Trump Organization; “a long-time friend and admirer of Trump’s family; a co-author of as many as five Donald Trump’s books; and a former ballerina who studied English language at the university of Utah, it’ll be understandable that her error was not intended.

It is, therefore, regrettable that she has become the focus of interest around the world for the wrong reasons.

In the official statement issued by Ms. McIver, she admits preparing the convention speech together with Melania Trump who had chipped in that “she admired Mrs. Obama, and read to her parts of the first lady’s 2008 speech at the Democratic convention”.

Ms. McIver said she had inadvertently left portions of the Obama speech in the final draft.

“I did not check Mrs. Obama’s speeches. This was my mistake and I feel terrible for the chaos I have caused to Melania and the Trumps, as well as Mrs. Obama.”
