Qatar’s prime minister has offered stinging criticism of Israel and the international community over the situation in Gaza.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani warned Hamas’s 7 October attack and Israel’s response in Gaza shows the region could not return to the way it was before the conflict erupted.
“Gaza is not there anymore. I mean, there is nothing over there,” he said.
“It’s carpet bombing everywhere.”
He called for a two-state solution to end the war, but warned it would not work if Israel has a government that does not believe in co-existence.
“We cannot have a two-state solution without having a government and politicians in Israel who believe in coexisting together side by side peacefully, and we cannot have all this ongoing without ending this war,” he said.
