Spanish police say they have seized 11 pieces of ancient gold jewellery taken out of Ukraine in 2016.
Five people are suspected of attempting to sell the pieces and have been arrested in recent weeks.
They include two Ukrainians, one of them an Orthodox Church priest, and three Spaniards.
The jewellery, which is worth about €60m, is dated from between the eighth and fourth centuries BC.
A police statement said the items were part of Ukraine’s national heritage.
They had gone missing after being put on display between 2009 and 2013 in a museum in Kyiv.
The pieces included a belt, earrings and necklaces.
