Poco Lee Returns to Social Media Following UK Detention Over Alleged Sexual Offences

The entertainer reappeared on Instagram on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, sharing photographs of himself in London in what marked his first major social media update since the legal controversy surrounding him began.

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has returned to social media weeks after his detention in the United Kingdom over alleged sexual offences.

In the pictures, Poco Lee posed at Cabot Square in London before enjoying a meal at a restaurant. He also shared a video showing himself preparing Chinese food and enjoying music.

The dancer accompanied his Instagram post with the caption, “ODINAKA.”

His return has attracted attention from fans and social media users following reports of his detention and the ongoing criminal proceedings against him in the UK.

Poco Lee’s Return Follows Weeks of Legal Uncertainty

Poco Lee’s social media comeback comes after reports emerged in August 2026 that he had been arrested in the United Kingdom over alleged sexual offences.

Court information subsequently confirmed that the dancer faced five charges: two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

The alleged offences were reported to have occurred in Tower Hamlets, east London, on July 23, 2026.

Poco Lee appeared before a UK court in August, and the case was transferred to Snaresbrook Crown Court for further proceedings.

He was reportedly granted bail on September 11 after spending weeks in custody.

His release generated speculation on social media, including claims that the complainant had withdrawn the allegations or that an out-of-court settlement had been reached. However, those claims were not confirmed by the authorities.

The UK Crown Prosecution Service previously stated that the case remained active, emphasising that the legal proceedings would continue despite reports of his release.

Dancer Denies Allegations Against Him

Poco Lee has denied committing the alleged offences, maintaining that he is innocent.

In September, he addressed the controversy during a video conversation with social commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

The dancer said his principal concern during his detention had been the welfare of his friends and business associates, whose activities were affected by the situation.

He also expressed gratitude to people who continued to support him during the difficult period, including Afrobeats star Burna Boy and socialite Rahman Jago.

His representatives had earlier urged the public to exercise restraint and avoid spreading unverified information about the case.

They stressed that allegations should not be treated as proof of guilt and called on the public to allow the judicial process to run its course.

Legal Proceedings Remain Ongoing

Poco Lee’s return to social media does not mean the criminal case against him has been concluded.

The charges remain allegations, and the dancer has not been convicted of the offences. The outcome will depend on the legal proceedings and any determination made by the court.

His next plea and trial preparation hearing was reported to be scheduled for February 8, 2027, with the trial expected to begin on March 8, 2027.

A reporting restriction also applies to protect the identity of the complainant.

The entertainer’s latest Instagram appearance marks a return to public activity after weeks of uncertainty. However, his legal situation remains unresolved as he continues to deny the allegations against him.

For now, his social media comeback has renewed public attention on the case, while the judicial process in the United Kingdom remains ongoing.
