Ozil’s Left Foot can play every pass he wants – Arsenal Defender

Mesut Ozil is yet to extend his contract with Arsenal,  and Jose Mourinho is said to have him on his radar, hoping he turns down a new deal from his current employers. Meanwhile, his teammate Shkodran Mustafi has nothing but praise for the Germany international footballer who he says, has big match mentality.

The 28-year-old German footballer has already found the net seven times since the beginning of this 2016-2017 season.

The current record shows he has only a goal less from his last season’s tally, and there’s a lot more gaames to be played.

Ozil has also netted his first ever hat-trick following Arsenal’s 6-0 Champions League win against Ludogorets Razgrad.

Mustafi, Arsenal’s center-back, told reporters in a recent interview: “He has the skills, vision, intelligence, quality.

“Mesut’s left foot can play every pass he wants.

“He has so much quality but the most important thing is that he is willing to show it on the pitch.

“Sometimes you see players with so much quality but they can’t produce on the pitch.

“That’s what makes big players – putting their talent on the pitch.”

Ozil is said to be delaying on signing a new contract with Arsenal for reasons yet unknown. The midfielder says he has great love for Arsenal, adding that they were his first choice immediately thoughts of leaving Real Madrid came to his mind.

“I spoke with [Arsene] Wenger and he wanted me at Arsenal. I said ‘If I get the opportunity to change clubs, you’ll be the first address for me,’” Ozil said.

“So what I did after that, we spoke and I decided to come to Arsenal because I remember Dennis Bergkamp and Robert Pires, such good footballers and I wanted to be a part of that, to come to Arsenal to be successful.”
