Donald Trump says Joe Biden’s lack of conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu is “pathetic” and that Israel’s prime minister is not listening to him.
Mr Biden spoke with Mr Netanyahu last week in what was the first known conversation between the two leaders since August.
Mr Trump, the Republican presidential candidate for the upcoming US election, said this was “pathetic” and that he had last spoken to Israel’s prime minister “like two days ago”.
“I can tell you that Bibi [Netanyahu] has been very strong,” he said in an interview aired yesterday on CBS.
“He’s not listening to Biden.”

Israeli airstrike hits courtyard of hospital in central Gaza
An Israeli airstrike has hit the courtyard of a hospital in central Gaza this morning.
At the time of the strike, the hospital was receiving bodies from an earlier attack in nearby Nuseirat that killed at least 20 people (see 23.35 post), according to the hospital records.
Loud explosions, fire, and smoke were seen in the backyard of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir al-Balah.
In an update on its Telegram channel, Israel’s military said its air force conducted a strike “on terrorists who were operating inside a command and control centre in the area of Deir al-Balah”.
It added that the command centre was “embedded inside a compound” that it says “previously served” as the Al-Aqsa hospital.
“This is a further example of the Hamas terrorist organisation’s systematic abuse of civilian infrastructure in violation of international law,” it said.
