Navalny’s widow says improper care case rejected by Russia as videos would have been shown in court
Alexei Navalny’s wife has spoken out after a Russian court rejected a lawsuit by his mother over improper medical care.
Lyudmila Navalnaya had filed a claim arguing that Mr Navalny received inadequate care at the Arctic penal colony where he died while imprisoned last month.
It was denied by the Labytnangi-based court as it hadn’t come from the opposition leader himself, according to a close ally.
In a post to X, Mr Navalny’s widow Yulia Navalnaya said the case was dismissed as documents and videos about what happened on the day of her husband’s death would have been shown in court at trial.
