Moldova has summoned the Russian ambassador over two Russian drones which fell in Moldovan territory at the weekend.
Chisnau said the two “decoy” drones used to try and confuse Ukrainian air defences violated its airspace and crashed deep inside its territory on Sunday.
They were found in the northern village of Borosenii Noi and the southern village of Firladeni, according to police.
Moldova’s deputy prime minister, Mihai Popsoi, said the country “firmly” condemned the incursion.
Russia regularly launches barrages of drones at Ukraine, and some have occasionally strayed into Moldovan territory.
