With so many stars already gone this 2016, MMA fighter Jordan Parsons was hit by a 4×4 in Delray Beach, Florida, on Sunday, leaving him in a critical condition.
The most recent report on the grave injury sustained as he walked along the street late at night says, the 25-year-old mixed martial arts fighter has moved on to the after life.
Cops said the driver sped away, and unfortunately, may not be caught. Somewhere right now, the superstar murderer should be celebrating with a bottle of champagne and a Cuban cigar for a star pulled down from the skies. Rewards await him or her – if not Karma.
Reports say the featherweight’s leg was amputated by doctors who battled hard to save his life, according to a GoFundMe page set up to cover the cost of his treatment.
But he has now succumbed to his injuries.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a dear member of the Bellator family, Jordan Parsons,” Bellator MMA President Scott Coker said in a statement.
“Jordan was an exceptional athlete and a rising star in the sport. But more importantly, he was an exceptional young man.
“Jordan was hard-working, dedicated, intelligent, and a pleasure to be around. He represented all the reasons we love this sport. It is a terribly tragic loss and our thought and prayers go out to his family, friends and teammates,” Coker added.
The online report quoted Delray Beach Police Department as saying in a Facebook post on Monday: “At 12:35am, the Range Rover was southbound on South Federal Highway as Jordan Paul Parsons was walking west across Federal at Lindell Boulevard.
“Parsons was on the south side of the intersection, walking in the crosswalk.
“The vehicle hit Parsons and fled, leaving him lying in the roadway.”
