Despite Man United’s huge outlay this summer, Ruben Amorim was keen on signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth and even went as far as holding face-to-face talks with the forward claims the Daily Mirror.
The paper adds that Amorim and Semenyo had dinner before the Cherries forward put pen to paper on a new contract at the Vitality Stadium.
Since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023, Semenyo has been a revelation on the south coast, scoring 24 goals in 93 games including 11 in the Premier League last season.
