A French navy ship will bring supplies for Gaza hospitals “soon”, Emmanuel Macron has said.
Speaking at a joint news conference with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo, the French leader called for humanitarian aid to enter the Palestinian enclave without obstacles.

He also said it was essential to get fuel supplies to health facilities, many of which have warned they are on the brink of collapse.
A plane is expected to arrive in Egypt with key supplies, he added.
Meanwhile, Mr al-Sisi said he has agreed to visit Mr Macron to work to contain the crisis in Gaza, introduce aid and seek to prevent other parties from entering the conflict.
He said Mr Macron understood any displacement of Palestinians from Gaza towards Egyptian territory would be “extremely dangerous”.
“We condemn all actions that affect all civilians and this should be addressed with one standard,” he added.
