The English Premier League side, Liverpool reportedly sent scouts to watch PSG’s playmaker Javier Pastore as the club smashed Rennes 4-0.
The Reds, yet undecided on placing a deal on the table for Javier, are expected to undergo a major summer of transfer activity as manager Jurgen Klopp aims to overhaul the squad. The German tactician wants to build a squad that represents his own image ahead of his first full campaign in charge.
Initially, there were talks about the German national team player Mario Gomez but it seems Liverpool has more interest in landing the Argentine first. Probably, Mario’s deal will come up shortly afterwards.
Reports confirm that respected Reds scout, Kevin Hunt may have received orders from the team’s board to keep a close tab on the 27-year old playmaker.
Lucky days may be smiling on the former Palermo man who hasn’t always been first choice since he arrived the French Capital. He moved from Italy in 2011 on a deal worth €42m. The said contract runs out in 2019 but it’s possible that PSG and Liverpool can work out a suitable agreement for all parties to be happy with the transfer.
Bad things happen most times when the best is expected. Pastore was regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in world football prior to his Ligue 1 switch. Things went really bad for the promising player and he hasn’t progressed in the way many would have liked.
Chelsea are also said to have interest in the player but rumors will be proven in the summer transfer window.
Pastore is a big star. PSg can afford him at a mouth-watering price.
