Liverpool are interested in signing unsettled Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, according to Spanish publication Fichajes.
The Netherlands international was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer, but the transfer window closed with the midfielder remaining in Spain.
United manager Erik ten Hag is still believed to be keen on bringing the 25-year-old to Old Trafford, but rivals Liverpool are now understood to be in the race for his signature.
De Jong has made 10 appearances for Barca so far during the 2022/23 campaign.
