The IDF says it worked with intelligence agency Shin Bet in a joint operation to kill a fighter involved in the 7 October attacks yesterday.
Ahmed al Ghoul was a leader of the Beach Brigade, a militant group affiliated with Hamas, which Israel believes helped coordinate the incursion.
“In a joint activity by the IDF and the public security service yesterday, an IDF plane killed a man called Ahmed al-Ghoul, one of the leaders of the Beach Brigade affiliated with the Hamas terrorist organization, in Gaza City,” the IDF said.
“Ahmed al Ghoul participated in the 7 October massacre in the Gaza envelope area, and after returning to the territory of the Gaza Strip, he detained a kidnapped woman, Corporal Noa Mortsiano, may God have mercy on her, who was killed by Hamas inside al Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip.”
