The arrival of their daughter comes after PEOPLE confirmed on Sept. 11 that the singer and her fiancé had become parents. The couple have largely kept details about their family life private, and representatives for Gaga and Polansky have not confirmed or commented publicly on their daughter’s name or sex.

According to a source, the name Rose has a special connection to Gaga’s music and career. It is inspired by “La Vie En Rose,” the song the singer famously performed in the 2018 film A Star Is Born.

Gaga’s connection to the song has also been reflected in her body art. She has a large rose tattoo running down her spine, accompanied by the words “la vie en rose” written in script.

The baby’s middle name, Bean, is also believed to have a musical connection. The source said it likely comes from activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga’s song “Born This Way.”
