The Kuwaiti army says its air defences are intercepting “hostile missile and drone attacks”.

“Any explosions heard are a result of air defence systems intercepting hostile attacks,” it says in a post on X.

In an earlier post, the country’s defence ministry says eight missile and 19 drone attacks have been monitored and responded to in the last 24 hours within the country’s airspace.
