Jay-Z’s mom Gloria Carter hailed for coming out as a Lesbian

The relationship between Hovva’s latest album 4:44 and Beyonce’s Lemonade aren’t so important as the “shocking revelation” from his mom Gloria Carter, who has received praise for coming out as a lesbian.

Shawn Carter and his wife Beyonce, including a large number of fans and rights activists, have shown their support for the proud mom.

The mutual love between mother and son reflected when Gloria confessed that Jay is so special. And now he’s saying thanks for letting me into this world, no matter what. Her husband left the family when the rapper was only 11.

“Mama had four kids, but she’s a lesbian / Had to pretend so long that she’s a thespian,” Jay-Z says on the new track Smile.

“…Had to hide in the closet, so she medicate / Society shame and the pain was too much to take / Cried tears of joy when you fell in love / Don’t matter to me if it’s a him or her,” he continues.

“Living in the shadow / Can you imagine what kind of life it is to live? / In the shadows people see you as happy and free / Because that’s what you want them to see,” the rapper said of his loving mom.

“The world is changing and they say it’s time to be free / But you live with the fear of just being me… Living in the shadow feels like the safe place to be / No harm for them, no harm for me / But life is short, and it’s time to be free / Love who you love, because life isn’t guaranteed.”

Jay and his three siblings grew up in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.

According to a report from Heavy.com, “He was the last of my children, the only one who didn’t give me any pain when I gave birth to him, and that’s how I knew he was a special child.”

His latest album is seen by many as a source of encouragement for the highly mistreated and misconstrued LGBT community in the US and most parts of the world, especially in American hip-hop arena where there’s outright hatred for homosexuals and lesbians.

In the words of Sarah Kate Ellis, the GLAAD President and CEO who made comments on Jay Z’s inspiring song, “Lesbian women are all too often erased or excluded from narratives surrounding LGBTQ people.

“By sharing her truth with the world, Gloria Carter is increasing visibility of lesbian women of color at a critical time and sending a powerful message of empowerment to the entire LGBTQ community that is perfectly timed with the end of Pride Month.”

Jay-Z’s new album has been a great success. His mom couldn’t be any prouder to have a son who understands that people have a right to choose their sexuality and lifestyle. His support for the LGBTQ community and black folks in general, is unparalleled.

A source told HollywoodLife that Gloria Carter has received an overwhelming support from Jay, Beyonce, and even total strangers, since 4:44 dropped a bombshell with her private life.

Despite Kim Kardashian feeling disgusted with the diss track [Kill Jay Z] which called out Kanye West for going against Jigga and Bey, the highlight of this album which is currently streaming on Tidal is Gloria’s brevity.

The world sees it as a brave decision for the mother-of-four to go public with her private life. Coming out as gay isn’t a child play, but a good step in the right direction.
