Israel-Hamas War: What is Israel’s next move?

Houthis launch ‘drone attacks against sensitive Israeli targets’

Yemen’s Houthis group has launched a batch of drones into Israel, according to a statement from their armed forces broadcast by TV channel Al Masirah.

The targets of the drones were “varied and sensitive”, it said.

This is not their first attack, having said they fired drones and missiles at Israel on 31 October and on two other occasions since Hamas’s attack on 7 October.

The Houthis are part of the so-called “Axis of Resistance” backed by Iran – which includes Hamas and Hezbollah – and blame Israel for instability in the Middle East.

Originating in the north of Yemen, they fought a series of guerrilla wars with the country’s national army, igniting a civil war when they seized the capital, Sanaa, in 2014.

Four killed in West Bank were ‘Hamas cell’, says Israel

Earlier today, the Palestinian health ministry said three Palestinians were killed after Israeli forces shot at their car in the West Bank.

Now Israel’s military and police have said four people were killed, all part of a West Bank cell directed by Hamas and responsible for a number of shootings.

They died in the western city of Tulkarm, close to the boundary with Israel, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

Prior to the incident, at least 155 Palestinians had been killed in the West Bank since 7 October, the ministry said.
