One of the more surprising news stories of the week was L’Equipe linking Kylian Mbappe to Barcelona. The French forward is a free agent in the summer but is closest to Real Madrid.
However the Catalans don’t believe the story and Real Madrid don’t either. They think it’s a strategy to upset the situation.
Barcelona’s finances don’t permit an Mbappe deal. He wants at least 100m euros from Madrid or arriving for free and a gross 60m euro salaries a season.
Barcelona would not be able to manage that so all roads are pointing to the Spanish capital for the striker.
