On Wednesday, an informed source in the Joint Operations Command announced foiling ISIS attempt to penetrate some areas in Baiji in Salahuddin Province.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Anti-Terrorism forces backed by the Iraqi Air Force foiled ISIS attempt to penetrate the thermal energy area north of Baiji.”

The statement added, “60 terrorists were killed in the attack, mostly Arab nationalities.”
