Job Summary/Basic Function:

The International Student Support & Program Coordinator will develop and implement programs that support the retention of international students. This will include developing student focused programs such as mentorship programs that encourage academic and cultural adjustments, monitoring and supporting international students in the Pathway/Bridge program, expanding and coordinating the international student club and expanding the Exchange Buddy program. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will oversee the university global branding efforts that support the High Impact Educational Experiences including the Global Learning Attribute. This position will also be responsible for developing short-term programs.

Required Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field
• One year experience working with and supporting international students in a college setting
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Qualtrics and other relevant software
• Written and oral fluency in at least one language in addition to English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
• Proven experience in international student services, program coordination, or related field
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent academic history (GPA >3.0 is strongly preferred – greater preference for GPA 3.5 or higher)
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Creativity Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) or equivalent
• The ability to successfully manage complex projects and/or events with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
• Positive, upbeat personality and solution-focused work style; organized, reliable and detail oriented; collaborative and able to work effectively with people whos views and perspectives may differ from their own
