Houston Mom Charged With Murder Of Her Kids – Son,7, And Daughter, 5.

A 30-year-old Houston mother has been charged with two counts of capital murder, after she allegedly killed her own kids aged 7 and 5 on Friday. She quietly confided in a close friend that she had drowned the boy and girl in a bathtub, reports say.

The heartless murderer told this unnamed person about her evil deeds maintaining that she was serious about it.

She also exposed her plans to leave town immediately, but the acquaintance who’s said to be a man, thought she was joking.

The suspect tried digging a hole to bury the bodies very close to her home but couldn’t dig it deep enough so she changed her mind. Sheborah quietly hid the murder victims under a neighbour’s house, police say.

According to a report, Sheborah went to her work place on Saturday and asked for an upfront salary but her request was denied.

It was the same day that she dropped the two small bodies in a black trashbin behind the house, prosecutors said.

Sheborah Thomas, 30, was charged on Sunday with capital murder of a person under age six, according to court records. She will remain in jail without bond.

“All indications are she is the one who acted alone” in the deaths of her seven-year-old son and five-year-old daughter, Houston police spokesman Kese Smith told The Associated Press.

How The Mother Killed Her Children:

Sheborah picked her two children up from daycare on Friday, took them home and fed them, Chron reported.

Then, prosecutors said Monday, she filled a bathtub full of water.

The 30-year-old mother got her daughter, Kahana Thomas, in the tub then held her head underwater until the 5-year-old stopped struggling. She put the body on a bed in her home, then called her 7-year-old son, Oraylyn “Ray Ray” Thomas to the bathroom, prosecutors said.

She later told police she held his head underwater, too, as he struggled and grabbed her hand, until he finally stopped breathing. Then she put his body on the bed next to his sister.

Their bodies were found on Sunday.

According to News, Smith said investigators are still interviewing the woman and have not determined a motive. Autopsies have been ordered.

The acquaintance told authorities he came across Thomas dumping trash in a field, and she told him she needed help moving it right away.

When the man asked about her kids, she calmly said she had killed them, Smith said.

“She was so matter-of-fact about it, he didn’t think she was serious. He thought she was joking,” Smith said.

“He continued to help her pack.”

Smith said the man eventually realised something was wrong when he asked again and got the same answer, so he drove the woman to a police precinct.

Investigators don’t yet know whether the mother has a history of mental problems.

Smith said police had been to the home before but for “nothing major.”

State child welfare officials had visited the family, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services spokeswoman Tejal Patel said, adding she could not disclose the nature of those visits. Patel said a “top to bottom review” of the family will be conducted.

Houston police say Sheborah Thomas also has a 12-year-old son, but he was with his father.

Neighbours told the Houston Chronicle that the family had moved in just a few months earlier.

“She would just take her kids to the park; that’s all everyone saw of them,” neighbour Mike Polk told the newspaper.

According to court records, Thomas has several misdemeanour convictions, including for theft and failure to identify oneself to an officer.
