The leader of Hamas has said that the US “holds the responsibility of the hospital attack because of the cover it gives to Israeli aggression”.
Ismail Haniyeh called on all Palestinian people to “get out and confront the occupation and the settlers”.
He called the attack a “massacre” and a “new turning point” in the conflict.
Haniyeh added: “Anyone who supports Israel is responsible for the violations in Gaza.
“If the enemy thinks that these massacres will hide his great defeat or force our people to surrender, he is mistaken.”
Biden: ‘I am outraged and deeply saddened’

In a statement released while the US leader is on route to Israel, he said he immediately spoke with Benjamin Netanyahu and King Abdullah II of Jordan, after receiving the news of the incident.

“The United States stands unequivocally for the protection of civilian life during conflict and we mourn the patients, medical staff and other innocents killed or wounded in this tragedy.”
