Man City boss Pep Guardiola says he would be “delighted” if Bernardo Silva signed a new contract but says he hasn’t been involved in talks with the player about extending his contract which expires at the end of this season.

“I want the best for Bernardo. If he wants to stay I’ll be more than delighted,” said Guardiola. 

“But I don’t talk about that subject with him

“He’s been already nine years here. He’ll decide with the club what’s best.”
