More than 700 celebrities and entertainment leaders have signed an open letter in support of Israel.
The letter, signed by the likes of Gal Gadot (pictured), Michael Douglas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Amy Schumer, Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Pine, calls on the industry to speak out “forcefully against Hamas, to support Israel and refrain from sharing misinformation about the war”.
It also asks entertainment bosses to do “whatever is in their power to urge the terrorist organisation to return the innocent hostages to their families”.
Gadot, an Israeli actress and model, said her heart was “aching” for the lives lost in the attacks by Hamas.
“I’m praying for everyone who has been affected by Hamas’s terrorism and brutality. And I hope that the world remains steadfast in their support of the Israeli people,” she said.
