The funeral of one the six Israeli hostages found murdered inside Gaza last week is being held this afternoon.
Family and friends of Hersh Goldberg-Polin will gather in Jerusalem after he was confirmed dead on Sunday.
The 23-year-old was born in the US and was at the Nova music festival when he was taken by Hamas on 7 October.
According to the Hostages Families Forum, his arm was injured during the attack.
On 24 April, Hamas released a video purporting to show him with an amputated hand. MEZIESBLOG has not been able to verify this.
The elder brother to two sisters, he was described as “an avid fan of the Hapoel Jerusalem basketball team”.
