Description : Newly established in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, South Korea’s “Woosong University Kazakhstan” is looking for a faculty to work as a assistant professor of AI/Bigdata department.
Working location : Turkistan city in Kazahstan
Job Summary :
- Delivering 15 hours of high-quality lectures in computer science per semester.
- Job responsibilities include teaching across the curriculum. This includes the SW foundational level, as well in the candidate’s areas of professional expertise in Programing practice or SW project management and communication.
- The candidate will be responsible for delivering foundational courses in Computer Science, SW development and Big Data technologies.
- In a pre-designed and structured curriculum for problem-based learning, students should play a mentoring role in allowing them to self-program the provided problems.
- Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and college and university service.
- The university’s official language is English, and all of its curriculums are delivered and operated in English.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses
- Programming courses: C, python, Java, object-oriented programming
- Core computer science courses: Algorithm, Data base, Computer System, Operating system, computer network, SW engineering
- Basic AI/DS : Machine Learning, Web Analytics
- Math courses: Linear algebra, Calculus, Probability and statistics
- Project and Seminar : Capston(Freshman, I, II)
- Engage in curriculum development and ensure continuous improvement of teaching materials to stay aligned with the latest trends in SW industry.
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to students.
- Contribute to the department’s academic research, including publishing in recognized Science journals.
- Foster collaborations with industry partners to create real-world learning opportunities for students.
Education and Experience requarement
- Major : Computer science, Computer Engeenering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a software related field (ABD candidates will be considered if degree completion is imminent).
- Educational :

- A Ph.D.
- A master’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience in software Developed Field and related field
- Bachelor degree with more than 8+ years of professional Software development experience. Recruitment as a industry-academia cooperation assistant professor by prioritizing industrial experience
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) :
- Knowledge of principles, methods and current developments in the SW field of study.
- Demonstrated expertise in SW related fields.(Preferential treatment for experienced people in areas such as AI, machine learning, and big data)
- Language skills: Fluent in English, Strong teaching skills and experience in undergraduate-level education in English
- A track record of academic research, with peer-reviewed publications in relevant fields. Or recognized experience within the industry as an expert in the relevant field.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring and inspiring students.
- Ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process.
- Ability to successfully interact with students, other educators and educational institution representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hands-on project-based learning or industry collaborations.
- Experience in educational technology integration.
