DSTV hikes subscription fees for second time in 2023

Many Nigerians are going to experience more financial pains as Multichoice, owners of DSTV Nigeria, has again hiked subscription fees by at least 16 per cent depending on the bouquet.

MEZIESBLOG gathered that a price increment notice was sent by DSTV to subscribers on Friday.

According to DSTV, the new rate will be effective from Monday, 6th November 2023.

For instance, the DSTV compact or GOTV Supa+ subscription fee of 10,500 has increased to 12,500.

Also, the DSTV Premium increased to N29,500 from N24,500; Compact+ increased to N19,800 from N16,600; Confam increased to N7,400 from N6,200; while Yanga will henceforth cost N4,200, from N3,500.

For GOTV, Supa bouquet has increased to N7,600 from N6,400; Max subscription to N5,700 from N4,850; Jolli package now goes for N3,950 from N3,300 while Jinja was hiked to N2,700 from to N2,250.

This is the second time the company has announced an upward price review this year.

In March, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, threatened to take action over the price increment, but nothing came out of the threat.
