Drake gave fans a brief look at his Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) project, which debuted on YouTube Tuesday (15.09.26) before being pulled shortly afterward.

The rapper described the release as a “not-so-short” film. It combined new music videos from his three-album summer output and featured a number of unreleased tracks. Among the new material is a song that incorporates country-style production and borrows from Ella Langley’s chart-topping single “Choosin’ Texas.”

Langley also makes an appearance in the film, joined by Don Toliver, Sexyy Red, Winnie Harlow, Lena the Plug, viral internet goth figure Pinkchyu — whom the rapper selected as a date on his online dating show — and Drake’s mother, Sandi Graham. The project also includes fresh collaborations with Toliver and Yeat, adding more unreleased material for fans to pick apart before the video was taken down.

By the morning of Wednesday (16.09.26), FOMO had not reappeared on YouTube. It’s still unknown whether the film will be uploaded again or whether the new songs will be released on their own.

Drake shared the “life advice” motivating the project and explained why music videos remain a meaningful format to him, even if they’re less popular now.

He wrote on Instagram: “Here’s some life advice before you watch.

“Nobody is coming to save you. You must use each day to decipher who you love and trust and march forward with them I hope this serves as motivation to make that call, take that trip, drop that song, open that shop, see your parents, leave that relationship or stay in it forever, spend the bread, get some more etc.

“They keep saying our genre is dying.

“Videos don’t matter. Nobody is watching nobody is listening. I still care. As much as I did on the set of Best I Ever Had. So be kind and rewind.”

FOMO arrived roughly two weeks after Drake previewed his remix of “Choosin’ Texas” during a DJ set in Toronto.

Drake recently turned up at Langley’s Arkansas concert, where he was spotted singing along to the track and later posed for a backstage photo with her.

The hip-hop artist is a devoted Langley fan and has praised her songwriting, writing on one of her Instagram posts: “Goated Pen.”

The admiration goes both ways — the country singer posted a TikTok of herself lip-syncing to Drake and Lil Wayne’s 2011 collaboration HYFR (Hell Ya F****** Right).

Langley has found global success with “Choosin’ Texas,” which reached No. 1 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts.

She has also drawn praise from veteran artists, including Shania Twain, who described her as an “authentic songwriter” in a Rolling Stone interview.

Shania said: “I’ve never met Ella Langley, but just from what I’m observing, like all of us, she seems very authentic. She doesn’t come across to me as somebody that’s trying to be somebody else, or trying to write a song that, you know, is with an agenda. I see her as, like, an authentic songwriter.”
