Drake releases a short movie titled ‘Please Forgive Me’

Drake has just released a new short film titled ‘Please Forgive Me’.

On Monday morning, at exactly 1 a.m. ET, the 23-minute movie which was inspired by Drake’s chart-topping 2016 Album titled ‘Views’, was posted as an Apple Music exclusive.

The rapper stars in the film, alongside Popcaan, Fanny Neguesha, Soni Chidiebere and Kyla Reid.

A total of seven songs from Views, as well as original music from Noah “40” Schebib were included in the mini-movie.

Please Forgive Me was directed by Anthony Mandler, whose credits include Drake’s “Over,” “Miss Me,” and “Fancy” as well as projects for Jay Z, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna. Mandler co-wrote the script with Larry Jackson, Apple Music Head of Content.

The movie was shot in the Soweto township in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Reports confirm ‘Please Forgive Me’ was shot in July before Drake and Future’s Summer Sixteen Tour. It is the second visual to emerge since Views was released.

As expected, critics aren’t smiling with Drake’s effort in this movie. Complex Music wrote:
