It’s a pity that a man from Indiana will never enjoy taking bites with his natural set of teeth ever again. Thanks to the careless mistake from his dentist.
The victim had dental problems so he visited a dentist for checkup. Initially, he was told that only four of his teeth would be removed but things went awry after the horrible five-hour ordeal.
He was induced for the painful operation but in the end, he woke up only to find all his teeth gone. Not even one was left for mercy’s sake.
The 36-year-old Donny Grisby was covered in blood before an ambulance arrived and took him in for emergency services. He is currently fighting for his dear life.
According to the man’s wife Amanda, she was in the waiting room at the cursed hospital White River Dental for 5 hours and had to demand knowledge of what was going on. That was when she got the shocking revelation that the doctor had decided to remove all her husband’s teeth.
The doctor’s reason was because there was an infection which the personnel thought could spread to other areas.
Donny said: “I am so ashamed now. I have no teeth.” He also says that he has blood clots because of the procedure and has to use an oxygen tank.
Karen Cantou Consulting provided a statement to WRTV with the claim that the dentist cannot respond to questions due to Patient Confidentiality Laws.
The statement continued: “All the proper consent forms are signed prior to any treatment being performed on any patient at White River Dental.
“I, as well as all of our well trained staff, strive in every situation to make sure the patient and/or legal guardian understands all issues that may arise prior to accepting the treatment plan, as well as making sure they understand our due diligence in securing positive final results.”
The couple said they have a lawyer and will be filing a lawsuit for malpractice.
One might want to reconsider visiting a dentist but if becomes unavoidable, reading that Patient Confidentially Laws can’t be taken for granted.
WHHAAATT! Did this guy read his charts, follow the Hippocratic oath, antibiotics or have common sense?! No I guess not! Hope this guys takes him to the poor house! THIS is the purpose of having malpractice lawsuits, not the way it’s grossly abused in this country!
