Dead Kennedys founding guitarist East Bay Ray has revealed that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The 67-year-old musician, whose real name is Raymond Pepperell, confirmed the diagnosis through a statement issued by the management of the influential San Francisco punk band.

Despite the health news, Ray intends to continue performing and touring with Dead Kennedys for as long as his condition allows.

“Ray says he plans to continue performing and touring with Dead Kennedys for as long as his health allows, and expressed his appreciation to everyone for their continued support.”
