Club safe even if Chelsea miss out on Champions League

Head coach Liam Rosenior is not in immediate danger of losing his job despite Chelsea winning just three of their 12 games since the start of February.

The Blues have suffered defeat in their last four outings across all competitions, including the 8-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on aggregate in the Champions League and a 3-0 loss to Everton last time out.

MEZIESBLOG understands the club intend to stand by Rosenior even if they miss out on Champions League qualification, although nothing is certain in football and all managers are judged on results.

Chelsea are sixth in the Premier League, one point behind Liverpool in fifth and six adrift of Aston Villa in fourth.

Plans for the summer window are already being made with the club planning to target a centre back, midfielder and a forward.
