Chyna, the famous professional WWE wrestler has been found dead at the age of 45.
The World Wrestling Entertainment legend, whose real name is Joanie Laurer, was “found lying peacefully” on her bed, her manager said.
As an iconic figure in the entertainment industry during the 90’s, Chyna was given the nickname “The Ninth Wonder of the World”.
She was a member of D-Generation X and often competed against men and at one point was the WWE women’s champion.
WWE said it was “saddened” to learn of the death of a “wildly talented performer”.
Chyna’s management team said the world had “lost a true icon”.
Chyna has now joined the list of WWE wrestlers who died relatively young. Others include: Eddie Guerrero, Rick Rude,the Ultimate Warrior and Owen Hart.
Laurer left WWE in 2001; posed for Playboy; and appeared on reality TV in shows such as The Surreal Life and Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew.
