Chinese, Russian businesses sign deals after Putin-Xi meeting

A host of Chinese businesses have signed deals with Russian counterparts in the wake of President Putin’s visit to Beijing last week. 

Companies attending a regional conference in northeastern China signed cooperation deals in sectors ranging from manufacturing and logistics to e-commerce and agriculture, Chinese state media reported. 

China has deepened cross-border connectivity with Russia and economic cooperation despite heavy disapproval and sanctions from the West on Moscow following the invasion of Ukraine.
