Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo is close to signing a new contract with improved terms that will run until at least 2033. The new contract has been agreed and is set to be signed imminently.
The Ecuador international is set to be handed a pay rise as a reward for his impact and performances since he moved to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea signed Caicedo almost three years ago from Brighton in ยฃ115m deal.
The now 24-year-old signed an eight-year contract at the time with the option to extend it by a further year.
Caicedoโs extension has been agreed just a month after captain Reece James also signed a new contract until 2032.
The news will be a boost for Chelsea during a difficult spell when the team has been struggling on the pitch and Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella have been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge.
