Arne Slot admits Liverpool have to work out the best strategy to replace Mohamed Salah this summer and reiterated the notion that Liverpool are a “trading club”.
Slot said: “Last summer we made quite a lot of signings and that’s why we traded.
“In four windows we had net spend of £150m. That says what kind of club we are.
“We know Andy Robertson and Mo Salah are going to leave, that means we need to change two players but Kostas Tsimikas is coming back.
“The first aim is to see how we react in position of Mo Salah, whether we want to replace with a similar player or do that differently.
“At this moment of time I don’t think there’s a chance of a lot of players leaving. Of course there’s the Ibou Konate contract situation.
“There might not be a need to trade a lot if you don’t need to bring a lot of players in.”
