Las Palmas’ young defender Mauricio Lemos is currently under Barcelona’s radar. The club has made an offer to sign the talented footballer.

Canarias7 reported that Barcelona’s initial bid stood at €4m but is expected to increase to at least, €12m through variables.
The 20-year-old star player arrived on a loan spell from Rubin Kazan in January but after a very brief moment, Las Palmas found him a worthy asset proven by his contributions to the team, and snapped him on a permanent contract. He has made nine appearances for the club as they finished 11th in La Liga and comfortably avoided relegation in the process.
According to the report, President Miguel Angel Ramirez has rejected the offer and is haggling for something close to €30m to be included as Lemos’ release clause.
Lemos is reported to be aware of the business negotiations and Barca’s interest but the young player has decided to respect Las Palmas’ decision.
A counter offer from the Catalans is expected soonest.

“The ex-Defensor Sporting player starred for Uruguay at both the 2015 Pan-American Games and Under-20 World Cup, with his country winning gold in the former.”
A fascinating discussion is worth comment. I don’t know why Barca always want to buy every upcoming star.
