A 14-year-old boy was sighted by the police driven a Kia Spectra at over 90mph in Northern California yesterday. Police in Rohnert Park said the chase began around 1:40 a.m.
The teenager on a high-speed drove past a stop sign as he led police officers in a chase. He refused to pull over until he lost control of the car; struck a sign and several bushes before finally crashing the car.
The underage driver ran away but turned himself in, few hours later because he realized police had arrested and detained the other two minors who were passengers in the car, the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat reports.
He was booked into juvenile hall afterwards. His name was not released because he is a minor.
