Bow Wow Announces Retirement From Music.

Lil Bow Wow has announced he will be retiring from music sooner than later, adding that his upcoming album will be the last time we’ll see him making rap songs. Not so bad for a 29-year-old who started rapping at an early age of 6.

Bow Weezy (real names Shad Moss) just completed his Australian tour and followed up the successful outing by announcing his retirement from rap via series of tweets last Sunday. He told fans that he wants to focus more on acting and hosting TV Shows.

“Retirement only means that it is time for a new adventure,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday.

The rapper noted, in gratitude, that his music has been a huge success over the years.

Bow Wow confirmed he sold more than 10 million albums during his career, and didn’t forget to remind loyal fans of the promise he made many years ago–that he will be retiring from the rap game before age 30.

That’s the nature of a successful mind; setting targets, working hard towards it, fighting against the odds, and staying true to your words.

Though his decision to quit rap is personal–pardon the rapper for any unintended offence–life is all about choices. He sure knows that music lovers care less about age or achievements but we’ll always remember his contributions.
Worthy of note is the fact that it was rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg who bestowed on Shad Moss, the name Lil Bow Wow [as a 6-year-old]. The rap king watched in awe as he performed and couldn’t find better words for the kid star.
It’ll take ages to understand how Bow goes with Wow, but that’s rap and rhymes, you know? We better ask Snoop Lion.
A few years later producer Jermaine Dupri took the then-11-year-old rapper under his wing, releasing his debut album in 2000, Beware the Dog, which featured a collabo with Snoop, “Bow Wow (That’s My Name),” as well as the hit “Bounce With Me” (featuring Xscape) and “Puppy Love” with Jagged Edge.
Bow Weezy has made it big with rap, as he explained: “Made over $20 million off rap. Why be greedy?”
He also got a rare chance at the White House, so we now understand he has better things to do.

Honestly, we wish the rapper stays a little longer but if he decides to call it quits, then we can only say “Bye”.
Bow Wow said in 2009 at an interview: “There’s nothing more that I want to accomplish.” He had announced his retirement for the first time as a 22-year-old but somehow, changed his mind.
