While millions of Chinese are busy traveling back home for Lunar New Year’s family reunion, e-commerce giant Suning hired expats to address courier shortage during the traditional holiday.

For online shoppers in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Nanjing, it may come as a surprise to open the door and find a foreign face standing outside with smiles and deliveries in his hands.

It’s uncommon to see foreigners work as deliverymen in China. 

Hiring part-time expat couriers could not only open a window for foreigners to see what Chinese New Year celebration is like, but it also brings an extra income.

Chinese employees gets more days off so they could spend a longer holiday period with family and loved ones.

A foreign expat who wishes to take delivery jobs must be fluent in spoken and written Chinese as well as have good knowledge of the location.
