Karabo Mokoena was murdered in cold blood by her South African boyfriend barely two days ago, but the recent killing of another two pretty girls by an unidentified butcher, rapist and kidnapper, has sparked a huge wave of panic and anger around the country.
The remains of two friends, Popi Qwabe (24) and Bongeka Phingula (28), were reportedly unearthed at a dump site located in Tladi informal settlement, Johannesburg.
ZiMetro confirmed the senseless murder was discovered last Tuesday.
Forensic analysis shows the young girls were mugged before their attackers raped and shot them dead.
Popi, a native of Zola, Soweto, and her friend Bongeka left their homes on Friday, May 12, but were later declared as missing persons until their lifeless bodies were found after four days.
Bongeka has been identified as a graduate from Durban University of Technology. She recently moved in to Johannesburg to pursue a career in acting.
Social media reactions to the heartless murder in South Africa:
SABC reported an arrest of two suspects in connection with the senseless murder. The accused persons faced trial in the Protea Magistrate’s Court today 18 May, 2017.
“I don’t know what to say as I don’t know why this person that killed my daughter hated me so much and why did they do this to her,” said Delisile Phungula, a grandmother to one of the murder victims.
A total of four women were murdered last week in Soweto.
May Your Gentle Souls Rest In Perfect Peace, Popi and Bongeka.
