10 best attacking trios to have won the European Cup

Football has always been a game of controversies, with many arguments on world bests, club legends, best trios, and even the deservedly most expensive players.

The Champions League is back for good, stirring memories of trios who best graced the football arena, especially in Europe, starting from the likes of Di Stéfano-Puskas-Gento, Cristiano-Rooney-Tévez,  and of course, not forgetting Mbappe, Cavani and Neymar.

France Football went digging for opinions and votes from football fans about top ten attacking trios in history.

For many, it should the trophy should go to Bale, Benzema and Cristiano (BBC) or Messi, Suarez and Neymar (MSN), but the legendary Di Stéfano, Puskas and Gento that played prominent roles in Real Madrid’s 1960 victory of 3-7 over Eintracht Frankfurt in Glasgow will forever be remembered.

Di Stéfano, Puskas and Gento were considered by many as the greatest trio who also played in a historical final, according to the French magazine.
